Can you remove comments on AB . Like you can on FB . Or once posted is that it?

Not directly. You can ask that a mod delete a post - they can only do that, they can't edit posts, or contact the Ed.

I believe that there used to be an 'edit' button on AB, but that option has long since gone, so; no removal of comments.

You can request a removal by reporting your comment - or comment on the thread and hope a Moderator sees your request.

I've "reported" my own contributions in the past and requested removal - always activated on every occasion provided it doesn't undermine any following comments so you have to be fairly quick off the mark.
