Tory Rebels ,warned they could face a General Election .. which might cost them their seat.
If they continue to seek to oust Boris....I hope every single one of them lose their seat.

Question Author
Boris says ,he can not say if he attended a party in his own No 10 Garden.
Because there are no civil servants avaliable at the moment to say if he did attend or not.... and he himself can not remember.
I think you will find it was Rees-Mogg.
Question Author
Boris,s defenders are saying there are more serious things going on in the world
at the moment ..So why are the media highlighting Boris and his cake Party.
...........Wasn't it Boris himself who said a few years ago......
..........."Let them eat Cake...........
.......Quoting...(Marie Antoinette)
Question Author
Can anyone find a Civil servant to tell Boris
... if Boris was at the garden party or not because Boris
,,,,doesnt know if he attended the garden party or not.
//Gulliver. He's a serial liar and not fit to be PM.//

Couldn't agree more. Gulliver1 would make a terrible PM.
"There was someone on the TV yesterday saying that if there were a new leader elected, the opinion would be that to demonstrate they had the authority to lead the country, a General Election would be called. "

Yes I saw that. However no sane government would call an election (the procedural obstacles aside) if the opinion polls were bad.
New PMs do get a poll bounce though it is true, so maybe it isn't such a fanciful idea.
I am still not sure they would risk it. A lot of seats would fall I would have thought.
Did Tony Blair call an election when he handed the reins to Gordon?
Ah I now understand at last

Rees-Mogg's pretty desperate, dare I say lightweight, and in any case wrong, attempt to scare the rebels.
"Did Tony Blair call an election when he handed the reins to Gordon? "

Well it was up to Brown of couse to call one, and of course famously he decided not to when he might have won.
Probably the worst thing he didn't do as PM
Question Author
Why is it taking Sue Gray and her team of six more civil servants all this time to find out if Boris is lying about attending a party .
...When there are photographs of him being there ?.
//When there are photographs of him being there //
Am not sure he denies being at Downing St.... he lives there and works there along with loads of others, its an office. The issue is to what extent he and others broke the rules ... we'll soon find out from Sue Gray and The Met
Question Author
If Cressida Dick and the Met rule against the Boris investigation,
then Boris will have to go. But we all know that Dick will not rule against Boris.
Question Author
Didn't like Dominic Cummings when he was Boris's adviser.
But now he is helping to oust Boris I sort of like Cummings now.
Never liked JRM, but now he has mentioned if Boris goes there could be a
...General Election which I might add the...( Tories are bound to lose......)
I think I could even like JRM. ..... Just saying ....
