Can't remember which episode it was, but Summer bought some chocolate bars and I don't remember seeing what happened to her after she'd eaten them.
I do fall asleep quite often and think I must have missed it.
Can anyone tell me what happened with her please?

She didn't record her sugar levels and next day at her appointment she pretended she had forgotten
Question Author
I remember that bit elliemay, but wouldn't she have been unwell if she ate all that chocolate.
Just thinking that if other newly diagnosed diabetics might have watched it and though it's ok to do that without being poorly.
It didn't show her being poorly
Question Author
Not having diabetes myself, I just thought eating chocolate would have had some sort of effect on her.
It would have sent her sugars up and I thought that would make her ill.
I don't think they showed her eating them all. Don't forget she makes herself sick after eating.
Another silly storyline with Tim and Sally ….and I’ll still watch it :0(
Last time I watched Corrie Jack and Vera were still in it, I have seen the odd episode when visiting Mum... before lock-down 1.
Another silly storyline is Craig hobbling about on that crutch!
He needs sacking as a copper Elliemay1, calling the police over a balsa wood sword
Lol that sounds comical. I stopped watching it when it seemed to lose its sense of humour.
Ridiculous storyline and I'm not sure he and Faye gel together as a couple
Question Author
Sharon, I don't know if making herself sick would help with the sugar content going into her blood , I don't know enough about diabetes to comment on it.
It's a very stupid story line if it might encourage others with diabetes to go and buy chocolate unless it's going to show the consequences of eating it.
Probably will show the consequences and it'll all end happily, just as Craig seems now to be cured of his OCD
I thought she was doing it to make herself sick (bulimia) as she thinks she's fat (!) and wants to look like Daisy, but I could be wrong.

The Tim and Sally thing is daft, only in soaps do you keep secrets like that from one another ! Tim knows Sally is worried sick and yet he won't tell her that he needs an op - we all need someone at times of great worry.

Like Bobbs, I'll still watch though lol.
Question Author
Shirley I thought she was doing it because if she has diabetes, I expect she would be missing having treats and so that why she is eating them in secret.
I could be wrong though as I don't think it's been made clear why she is eating them.
A lot of men keep secrets like that from their loved ones - partly because talking about makes it real, and partly because they don't want to worry them.
Men in general are useless at talking through their problems and even worse at facing up to serious health issues.
I think this is a very true to life storyline.

Summer has bulimia - she has strong urges to eat a large amount of food when she is upset but also believes she is fat so vomits it back up.
If she vomits it up quickly enough it won't affect her blood sugars too much especially if she adjusts her insulin to compensate but no doubt it will show in her next blood tests. It takes around 15 minutes for sugars to affect the blood and an hour for the sugars to peak.
Definitely Bullimia. I had a good friend with it and when she came to lunch, I admit I felt a bit miffed when she went to into the loo afterwards. But I understood. It was sad because she was the most beautiful lady I ever had as a good friend. Tall with a lovely slim figure and exquisite face and the men loved her. She went to live in France and eventually lost touch.
Barry, my friend did it most days, not just when upset. It must have become a habit. It was when we were both in our late thirties. She posed personality and was a ray of sunshine. There must have been deep issues. She far from worried about her weight or her looks.
pat, I had a friend who was the same, she would be in her 80s if she were still alive. Her mother and sister were very large ladies and I think she was frightened of going the same way. She kept up the binge eating, excessive exercise and vomiting right up until she was in her 60s when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She could go for days without eating, then she'd binge.
That switched her focus from her weight and she admitted to me that she felt stupid and regretted what she had put her body through. She was a lovely, caring lady and my wife and I still miss her.
