Could anybody tell if the homeless who are lying on the streets are still entitled to benefits?

ok - thanks - my sister said the same thing - she thinks if they don't have a "fixed abode" then they can't claim. Bless them today in this terrible freezing weather.
Yes indeed ( putting head above parapet here)not for them the luxury of a warm hotel bed and three meals a day like they ‘manage’ to roll out for those entering England illegally
Around the corner from me is a church which has a deep doorway. The last couple of weeks a homeless person has been sleeping in the doorway. What I cannot understand, the Vicar is not being very Christian or else he would let him sleep inside at least or get him some help.
Shharon, maybe the vicar is unaware if the doorway is only occupied at night.
when benefit manager we took claims from homeless with NFA no fixed abode.. they were personal issue cheques.. may be different nowadays ?
my son got benefits but he had to have a bank account .there is a bank in our town where people like him could show birth certificate and proof from drug clinic to get a very basic account ..
Danny, he is there all day & everyday!!! Right in full view of the public. I guess luckily the church has another entrance so they can ignore the problem on their doorstep.
perhaps he doesn't want help ..my son told me a few of the homeless didn't want to be taken off the streets and given a room etc as they got more money from people sleeping rough x
Yes they can claim benefits. They usually use the jobcentre address as a c/o address.
