Must say the family and I are very much enjoying the new series, although we do miss Lady Felicia and Bunty.

I think it would fit the Sunday teatime slot very well, when shows like The Blandings used to be broadcast.

Speaking of afternoon TV, bring back WPC 56!

emmie, I love Line of Duty, Luther, Peaky Blinders - the grittier and more gruesome the better - but I find series like Father Brown to be very relaxing and soothing.

sorry i find it soporific and mind blowingly bland. I don't watch much day time tv, but have watched one before, it just doesn't appeal.
I binged watched The Tourist, now that was very good, though on at night...

I recorded the first episode of a new series last night - Screws. Seems to have a good cast.

This production of Father Brown has always been a delight to watch and is evocative of its time. Lovely to see such quaint television without the usual accompaniments that apparently are so desirable these days.

I've seen every episode (most more than once) and enjoy the 45 minutes of gentle escapism, especially as the main locations are near where I live.

Next Friday's episode is the 100th and we're promised something a bit special. And Bunty will be back.....
