Any sign of Barra where you are?
It's dark and damp here in Manchester, but I will venture out in a little while to visit an old friend.
Do you need to go out today?

I had to go to the vet's this morning and I was dreading going out in the wild weather, but it wasn't so bad. The wind wasn't as strong as the last storm we had and the rain more or less kept off until we were almost home. It's got a lot darker since getting home though ! This is Warrington in NW.
Dark dismal and wet. Wind just beginning to get stronger. Just a few miles from Burnley on one side and Rochdale the other.
One of the worst nights ever and even worse to come. Dave caught the tarpaulin covering the huge wood pile just as it was about to leave. Thought he'd be paragliding to Cork.
Clump of four palm trees heading for the ground and I see one boundary tree where it wasn't yesterday so more wood for the pile.
Amazingly we still have power here but I don't expect that to last.
Oh goodness gness, that sounds horrendous. Do keep safe, I hope you don't lose electric.
Really dark and wet down in the South East. Not sure which parts of the UK are affected by Storm Barra but its not very windy down here.....so far. Hope everyone is ok.
Aww, scary stuff Gness.
Hope you can keep your electric!
Still, lots of wood for your fire...
Poor Dave...
"Is it a bird, is it a plane?.No, it's Super Dave!" :-))
storm's passed here now - heading north!
Ahh Gness, sorry to hear that. Hope things improve for you both x
Was Dave wearing his Santa suit? There'd have been sights reported all over of an early arrival.

Seriously, take great care everyone - nasty here but not to dangerous levels as far as I know.
Blowing a hoolie here, roads flooded, torrential rain. Certainly not weather for thongs.
Thanks all...x. Dave wouldn't have needed the sleigh, Mamya.

Good gracious.
Omg! Keep your heads down, guys...x
keep bouncin' Xx

At the moment it's not too bad in this bit of N Notts. It's cold with some rain and the occassional gust of wind but nothing out of the ordinary yet.
Dark, like midnight, wet, raining & freezing. Went out earlier and had a hot chocolate & a slice of stollen.
Had to venture out to pick up a couple of parcels. Absolutely horrendous here in Dundee. Some of our city centre streets have been closed because of falling slates etc. Local woods popular with dog walkers closed to all.
Gosh Shirley, sorry you're not well and had to go the vet. I trust it was nothing serious;-)

Just got home from visiting a friend and it wasn't too bad at all.
Gness and Dave, it sounds horrendous where you are.
Hope it doesn't get worse and hope no one has been hurt.
Sharon thanks for reminding me about Stollen, must put it on my list for tomorrow.
Hope you are all managing to keep warm. x
