Currently packing up the house, why is it we have plastic boxes with no lids and lids with no matching boxes?
Is there a plastic eating monster like the sock eating monster?
And I have found 6 jars of mustard all open but different kinds! I don’t even eat mustard!

Red, I use a lot of those tin foil trays and always end up with missing lids. But Indo prefer them to plastic containers.

You have obviously had an illicit and secretive visit from Simeon the Holy Fool (Saint's day is July 1st.) He is the patron saint of mustard......
I certainly have the plastic box/lid section - goodness only knows how it happens.
The Law of Conservation of Mass states that all lost socks are actually transformed into tupperware lids that fit no known box ...

Lol glad I am not the only one with the plastic box issue!
I have now sorted it out so only matching boxes will move in!
Understand this perfectly RH. Clearing out cupboards and found 14 plastic containers and 20 lids. Tis a mystery.

Lol Maggie, well they are all matching now let’s see if they come out the dishwasher matching
We have plastic box issues here too. A cupboard full of them!!And also with the foil trays with card lids which we use for freezing.

I think there are very few households that don't have the plastic box and lid issue. When I moved in the summer I found loads of plastic lids but very few containers. It's a mystery, as Toyah once sang.

Nooooo now that song is going to go round and round in my head!
Never mind the plastic boxes and lids....just don't mention mustard to me!

Lol why Gness?
The chef who manages all things kitchen was out the other night so I had to fend for myself.
I managed, trial and error, to get one of his cooking contraptions working so I could heat up a sausage roll. Sausage rolls have to have an accompaniment of mustard.
I trawled his fridges and found more jars of ancient mustard than you could shake a stick at. Some were fancy mustards....boozy mustards....grainy mustards....all nearly as old as me.
All I wanted was some fresh English mustard... :-(

It's embarrassing enough taking our empty wine bottles to the bottle bank but I'll need a trailer to take the empty mustard jars.
