How much do you think they really do listen?

I'm always impressed with Prime's guesses of books or films I might like. But Netflix, is nowhere near so attentive (quite offensive on occasions, lol).
Google, seems to automatically know what i am about to ask, within a few letters, even if I have never asked it before....

But, dogs were at home alone for 2 hours this morning, and when I got home, Alexa was playing music. My app said it started 10 mins before I got home, and had "heard".... "Alexa, play soothing music for dogs"....

Son went to work before I did.... does Alexander speak dog now??

The first words my two cats used to say when I got home were "We're starving". Dogs are loyal and loving and, sometimes, total goofballs.

Alexa.... sexist autocorrect:-)
Did you ask the dogs? It wouldn't surprise me if they have been up to no good.

They always are, wolf :-). My first question when I get home is often "have you been good? ... anyone??"
Never a response...

Hooligans :-)
There will be an army of people listening in to every conversation . There were several articles not long ago about these devices and the information that is being collected and stored . People forget to switch them off .
Perhaps an annoyed neighbour got fed up with them barking and shouted it through the letterbox.

Which gives me a good idea for the dogs within earshot of my house which are constantly barking in the daytime presumably when their folks are away.

Canary, my only neighbour is a dog lover, with plenty of her own... she would only message me if she thought they were distressed for some reason.
But, I did set my sister's Alexa once,to make ghost noises at 3 am once. And to bark, at one time, to set hers off...

I don't switch them off, Andres, just wish they would listen better.
