Buenchico (or others). Some time back I found that, since Google Cloud printing ceased,
I am unable to print out a fullsize A4 document properly - the print only appears in very small print on the top left hand side of paper! Printer is Epson XP-225. Chromebook does not have a taskbar or Windows. You previously gave me some advice but I still cannot get the document to print properly. Any more thoughts, please?

Halfway down this link is the section 'how to print on a Chromebook'.
https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/how-to-print-from-a-chromebook/

Step 3 refers to general and advanced settings - you should be able to fiddle about to get full page, paper size (you probably want A4) etc

Does that help?

Thanks Barry1010. Will check this out tomorrow -watching footie now!
Thanks.

Barry 1010. I tried what you suggested and the printer seems OK.
Problem seems to be that the paper sizes are Japanese sizes and not A4, etc. Have you any ideas on how to change this?
That’s a strange puzzle. Do you mean the options are Japanese in the settings? Is everything else standard English?
Is this what you see? https://imgur.com/a/3TZoBUg

Also, what make/model printer do you have?
Question Author
I don't get all that- what shows up is om tl, oe photo-1, Hagaki (postcard), om + postcard, om card. Lenovo Chromebook- will look up paperwork for model, etc. About 3 years old. Impossible to get through to Lenovo help!

Printer Epson 225 XP
Did you follow the process at the following link when you set up the printer?:

If not, I would remove the printer and then add it again. Unfortunately your printer model does not appear in the list of 'Compatible Printers', so that may be the problem.

The printer seems OK and does print but it only prints very small in the top left hand corner of the page. Fault must be with the strange paper sizes and I cannot alter them. Previously, I could print normally.
Well the printer might be OK, but given the small print size and the strange paper sizes it sounds as if the printer driver is not OK!
Looking back at your earlier question, Buenchico suggested installing Epson iPrint. Did you do that?
Question Author
Yes, I installed it.
Does it happen with everything you print? Are you printing from a web browser?
Question Author
I am actually trying to print a quiz sheet I received via e-mail.
It must be something to do with the odd page sizes?
Try printing something else just as an experiment.
Question Author
I'll do that tomorrow as have to go out shortly. Meantime, many thanks to you and Etch for all your help.
I reckon that the "odd page sizes" are because the wrong printer driver has been installed.

An update for the three guys who tried to help me (and thanks).
I now have A4 size paper and not Japanese sizes! I did a power wash, uninstalled and then re-installed the printer and all was fine again after weeks of headaches. I did read on Google that there had been similar in 2019 and reason was a bug in a Chrome OS update so I must be careful not to download any in the future.
Glad you are sorted at last.
Always good to hear about a successful outcome, thanks for posting the update.
