I still feel like I've been hit by a bus, so trying to look on the bright side...

1. It's Friday
2. We're going to a bonfire / hog roast tomorrow night
3. Our new corner sofa is ready, the shutters are ready and the coving will be finished this weekend. Additionally I finally managed to find a pendant to go over the kitchen island - it's only taken us 2 years to find something suitable that we both like.
4. Christmas will be here in a few short weeks and my parents are coming to us. I'm looking forward to a good break and spending time with my lovely family and watching my little boy opening his presents.
5. I'm looking forward to making another blow-your-mind batch of soup and some proper comfort food this weekend (cottage pie).

It's a beautiful sunny day, albeit a bit chilly.

Sounds just the ticket, Tiggs. What I would give for a duvet day...

I was supposed to go today, Bobbi, but given that my nasal passages are still full of Bird's Custard, I'm postponing my double jab by another week (again!).

I used to love a Verdejo, Samurai. I doubt I'll have a drink this weekend. I can't really smell or taste anything. I weighed myself again today and I'm now down by 11lbs.

By the way, Bobbi, if I don't see you before, have an absolutely fabulous time and I hope you enjoy meeting up with Emmie.

That doesn't surprise me - some years ago I sought some wall lights and it took me over a year to find something I liked. The range in Lighting Departments seems more quantity than quality - although of course it all comes down to personal opinion/taste.
Thanks , I’m so looking forward to seeing the Classical Spectacular and just being part of it x

Haven't you got an Agony Aunt spread to read? Or someone to plagiarise?

Thanks, Togo. GP has got me on steroids and Amoxycilllin now. Hopefully that combo will do the trick.
Could have warned you when you started the home project that it takes it out of you. The constant effort and discomfort eaves you susceptible to just the sort of viral knock that you have suffered. Been there done that. Never mind when you get to my age the feckless and idle can tell you how lucky you are to have a nice place, whilst demanding that you hand it over to someone more deserving. (^_*)
Make eaves leaves ... the roof is on now.
