Absolute disaster. I always preorder the food and say what size of tables I need. I said I needed 5 tables of 6 and 1 of 4.
I discovered we had 4 of 6, and 3 of 4. That took some sorting out. When we were all seated eventually. We waited and waited. We should have eaten at 1.00 pm. First food came out 1.45. It took 45 minutes for everyone to get main courses. The people who had fish and chips were not happy. The fish was cut in half lengthwise. It looked awful with all the bones exposed.
The dessert took nearly half an hour after we had finished main course to arrive. I did complain about the fish. Got a £3 deduction off that.
Discovered they had a new manager who had decided to take the day off, leaving everything to youngish waiting staff.
So sad but we will not be going there again.

Er, why? You were only short of a table of 6. Putting two tables of 4 together would have solved that problem, with no further messing about needed at all.
Oh come on, Chris! When you're arranging seating for that many people you have to be careful.
Madge and Cissie should never sit next to each other since the hair dye episode.
Cedric can't sit on the same table as Florrie since he made a pass at her at the Christmas do.
Ted and Eric have to be three tables apart since Ted cut Eric's line at the fishing competition.
And as for Norah telling everyone that Betty's grandchildren were ugly! Well they shouldn't be in the same room.
All that takes some doing! ;-)

Seriously, Caran.....It's not on, we had a disappointing meal recently. Shame when we're getting out and about at last and looking forward to socialising...x
The real problem is always Tony and the gravy ...
To right, Dave ;-)
Him and his gravy phobia eh?

Gness you got it in one! So and so won't sit with whoever!
It takes me ages to sort and when the table plan isn't correct I'm stymied from the start. That took ages to start. I give the venue a chart showing what food is requested on each table. If I have to start reorganising where are we at!!!!
Been there, Caran. Bloody hard work! X
Quite so - there's only two of us, but with a four seater table I can still get the seating plan wrong ...
