Ok so does this 2035 cut off mean you can't use gas boilers or like the date for no petrol / diesel cars in 2030 mean you can use them but not buy a new one

The latter, if politicians are to be believed, which they aren't. :-)
Heat pumps are OK in new builds but in an old property without really good insulation (which most old properties don't have) they are pretty useless.
The cut off points for petrol/diesel cars and for gas boilers are when no new one can be installed but we can still go on using our present ones until they expire.
