Hi, lots of people have had the same problems including me. I love hydrangeas, but this year mine have had only a few flowers, the conical ones that normally flower in July and gradually turn pink are still cream coloured but dying off. a guy at our local garden centre said it was becasue of a late frost that killed off the buds. Hydrangeas flower on this years browth so many plants had to start again.
I think, a lot of it is to do with changes in weather patterns, there are hardy any acorns on the oak trees this year.
