I think my invitation from a certain person has been irretrievably lost in the post. I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for it to appear but would like to ask if any of you have had a genuine lost in the post item?

I ordered some plants once and they never arrived and more recently a book (2 others ordered at the same time did arrive). I was assured by both companies that the goods in question had been sent.

Just wandering what else has been lost.

I've never had anything from amazon lost in the post, because it's never sent by post - always an amazon-liveried van.
Yes, lost or stolen, an ipod ordered from Amazon. The driver reckoned he'd delivered it to a house opposite and they'd signed for it. The house was obviously empty, no curtains etc an noone was there all day (occasionally landlord appeared to check all was well). Asked all the neighbours who I know well. Amazon did replace it without a quibble.
I do know that 4 Christmas cards I put in a small postbox at the end of my road one morning last year never arrived to their intended. 1st class stamps on all of them too.
Maybe the person has forgotten....??? Maybe age related forgetfulness... ;)

Pasta - that is probably the reason. Never mind I will forgive and try to forget. I have been told it's easy as you age. Poor thing.
several items, ordered on Amazon, a bag which never arrived and something else, can't remember, but was refunded in full
