Brexit bites again, The UK is short of four thousand Bus drivers who have quit their jobs to drive HGVs for loads more money.... Will this mean more food on supermarket shelves but you can't catch a bus or fill the tank up in your car to fetch it.?

I would never make an HGV driver - I couldn't safely reverse a trailer to save my life!

Gosh , such a lot of the ,,"Gulliver fan club" ..members on here today.
Gulliver is so fond of telling us how bad things are in the UK but never mentions how things are in his neck of the woods. Perhaps he could tell us where he currently resides so we can compare like for like. A refusal to do so must indicate that things are just as bad, or even worse.
"Don't tell them Gully!"
This is absolute garbage. The number of bus drivers with a Cat C or CE is probably no more than a handful, just as the number with C/CE with also Cat D is minimal.

And there is a queue to take your C & then CE (which is the main cause of the problem) with the DVLA.

Gulliver never lets the truth get in the way of a moan about Brexit or anything else come to think of it. I used to have HGV and could not use it to drive bus or coach and as you say it is DVLA that is causing a lot of the problems.
I once saw an HGV driver with a huge rig & trailer having to negotiate a extremely sharp turn in Cirencester (Ashcroft Rd into Cricklade St). Before he started the manoeuvre & holding up the traffic he had to light a fag.
He got the whole thing round with an inch to spare on either side to applause from the pavement!
I think they deserve every penny the earn - & a lot more.

Or even that he's closer than he makes out....

froo gritted teeth they admit part of the problem is paper-work which is of course "over-regulation"
Who knew that for all those years it was in fact Britain propping up the pyramid scheme. As soon as we leave the place is unworkable.
