Water Feature Bowls

Any tips on how to remove the scaling from inside the bowls which are ceramic? I’ve soaked in Fairy Liquid then dishwashered, but the dried on gunk remains. Any ideas please?

Acid, in the form of white vinegar, is often cited as a way of dealing with limescale. So try rubbing the surface of the bowl with a J Cloth (or similar) soaked in white vinegar.

I use citric acid, bought as a tub of crystals from the pharmacy. Add about a tablespoonful to hot water and stir well. Leave to soak for an hour or so.
