I haven't read the whole article in the Daily Mail but do know my neighbour across this tiny cul-de-sac has one. Her family put it on for her last Christmas.

What I would like to know how far can you see "around" the cul-de-sac - I think she said she can bring it up on her TV and view it.

The one we have you can see about 180 degrees, so on a wall everything to the left and right. Basically, what you would see if you stood at the door and looked to the left and then to the right.

You can view the footage from your phone or other device in the house. My daughter has one and she can see when she's upstairs working, who is at the door - like someone with a parcel - and tell them through the doorbell where to leave the parcel. They are really good.

My daughter and son in law have one, it was quite disconcerting the first time "it" spoke to me!
