New hinges on oven door so that is now usable. I managed quite well without an oven but it is nice to see it back in place and not leaning against the wall in the kitchen.

Is there anything any of you would miss if you didn't have it to use? I've been thinking of what else I would miss.

Yes and always cold meat and bubble and squeak for dinner because the washing seemed to take up most of the day

Nasty memories.

Will just have to use the oven for this evening's meal but still not sure what to do. Something simple and no wheat products.

In true cb tradition we seem to have wandered quite away from my original comment where I was considering what goods are replaced and disposed of when they wear out.

Interestingly Red Helen seems to include her husband in that category.
