So fed up of not being able to get through to my GP's surgery because of the new answering system , I'm seriously thinking of changing to a different practice.
How do I do that, and is there a 'body' where you can complain to apart from the practice manager at your surgery?

Yes Margaret it does .
There is a form you can fill in online between 8 am and 10.30am and they get back to you when it has been seen by several people who then decide if you need to see a doctor and just a phone call.
The appointment system online is no longer in use although I can order medicines online.
Anyway, after trying for most of the day, I got through and they said someone will contact me tomorrow!

Well if you do decide to change surgeries I would look for one with an online appointment system. The telephone’s usually terrible. I never bother before about 3.30pm.

Ditto ^^^
'going back to the old system of being able to book online.'

'The appointment system online is no longer in use'

Why aren't they allowing bookings on line?
