Bbc Quiz : Week 41

A good start for me this week, with SIX out of seven in the adult quiz:

I’ve also discovered Aunty Beeb’s new Tuesday Timed Teasers. I actually knew all 10 of the right answers to this week’s quiz but clicked on a couple of them a fraction of a second too late before the timer ran out, leaving me with EIGHT out of ten:

So, feeling buoyed by my success, I went back and tried the previous week’s one as well. Perhaps I shouldn’t have done though, as I only managed a lousy FOUR out of ten. (Once again, I missed out on a point by clicking on a correct answer just as the ten seconds were up. You’ve got to be quick to answer these type of questions!):

(Yes, you do have to be fast. It can take a few seconds just to read each question!).

Yes, Naomi. The problem with the timed quizzes is that it's not '10 seconds to answer' but '10 seconds to read the question and then to answer', which doesn't actually leave one with a lot of thinking time! That 8 is a very good score though!

Very late this week Chris. Lots of distractions at the mo.
4/7 in the adult, 3/5 in the kids. I have to say they were all guesses, but as I've said before, I don't watch the news or buy papers. Probably won't get any next week!

Bang in the middle in both sections, 10CS!
(I don't buy newspapers or watch TV news but I do spend loads of time every day checking out news stories on the BBC website which, after all, is where the quiz questions are sourced from. It often doesn't seem to help me much though!).
