Hi aber techies. I need your techinical know how. To cut a long story short, My phone has refused to work since i put it on flight mode 2 days ago. i´ve switched off the flight mode after we landed. So when i got home i automatically assumed it would work like it always does with my router. Wrong, it wouldn´t. I was told by a phone shop to do a factory data reset, so i did and worked for all of 5 mins then died again. Any advice would be appreciated, as i need it for work on Monday. Incidentally my phone is a LG K10 (2017).

chris, i was at the end of my tether, i tried disabling and enabling flight mode about 15 times, nothing!! i even tried safe mode, turned it off and back on countless times. You name it i tried it. Its now in a phone shop, they said they think i need a microchip replacing. I think hoppy´s right, its probably time to buy an new un.
>>> they said they think i need a microchip replacing

Yes - but what did they say about your phone?

;-)
Things aren't designed with repairs in mind these days.

Quite the opposite, they are designed to need replacing often.

However if it only did 18 months, perhaps change makes.

chris, i got the phone back today after they(the repair shop) had given up on it.
Its kind of weird, cuz its trying to connect but cant stay connected for more than a minute or two. I suppose i have to accept its going to mobile phone heaven.
How odd. Does it work okay otherwise? Connects to the internet via 4G?
