When I had a dog I used to think that cats were sneaky, evil, sadistic little bullying monsters.

When my dog died I got an old ex-stray cat called George. I discovered that they were exactly how I thought they were but they were also loving, amusing and rules my day. I had to get up when told, go to bed when told, eat when told etc.
They are all individuals and some are just big soppy lumps of fur - ideal for cuddling. Some are like the late Princess Merlin - stupid and vicious in one cute little furry body.

If only cat owners trained their cats to defecate in a litter tray instead of in other people's gardens I might feel more tolerant towards cats. As it is I get seriously p****d off clearing up neighbour's cat poo from my garden.

I was once clawed by a cat, but was told it wasn't agression, it was because the cat was trying to grab on to someething to help him down from a worktop.

the majority of cats I've seen have been pretty chilled out.
