Robert the actor from Last of the Summer Wine The surname in the show I think was only ever mentioned once . Yeah he was an actor who always stayed in character .

There must only be a few of the cast still with us, makes you realise how long ago it was filmed and it's stood the test of time.
Sibs, New Judge.....? God bless her too....still can't believe that she has left us - and I missed out on an invitation to go over and play the hallowed links of Royal Portrush G.C..

I think of the main characters, only Sarah Thomas (Glenda), Mike Grady (Barry), Brian Murphy (Alvin) and Tom Owen (Bill Owen's son) who played Tom are still around.
RIP Robert Fyffe.I think Josephine Tewson (Librarian) is still alive.
Good clean honest telly, albeit a bit corny at times.
Just checked Josephine Tewson is 90 and she played Miss Davenport.

Ross Abbot still going strong although appeared later series .
Also,Keith Clifford (Billy Hardcastle) is still alive.He is 83 years old.
Jonathan Linsley is still with us, too - he played Crusher
