I have a full pack of chocolate Hob-nobs, but need to lose a bit of weight. Since the forced cancellation of their well deserved trip to the US.

Bro and his fiancée have invited me to a trip to Alton Towers followed the next day Hiking in the Peak district. Neither of which I've never being or done before. I need to lose a stone before the 4th. ;-)

The Peak District is lovely, but you need to be fit if you are doing a good walk or two.

Rides won't bother me, but the lack of fitness... erm. It's hard to believe it's been a year since I went hiking across Ilkley mores etc... when the first lockdown rules were eased.

Food poisoning is that what happenend to you Hopkirk, I have to say you do look a bit pastey in your Avatar.

I've actually had food poisoning, it was so painful I felt like the 'Alien' from the films was going to burst out of my stomach.

I know in the films its the chest, but was that bad and painful, so I'll politely decline your suggestion.

When I was working for an overseas airline I visited the far East. I then returned to the UK on leave, but started feeling really I'll on the way home.
They thought I might have a dangerous lurgy, so I ended up in isolation in hospital. Turned out I had campylobacter food poisoning, so they turfed me out.
