hi having problems baking bread i know you should separate salt and yeast whats the ,procedure salt one side yeast the other,or some other way fed up with soggy bricks of unrisen bread ant advice would be appreciated

Opposite sides worked well for me, one thing to check is where the bread machine is... If it's too hot or in a draught it won't bake evenly. Also make sure your yeast is well in date, it's one thing where best before really are a poor guide, I would make sure I am well within that date.
Also, make sure it’s instant yeast and not just dried (which needs to be activated before use) and that your water is properly warm. Never used to have any problems with mine, gone back to the old fashioned way myself as didn’t have the space for the machine any more.
