// Don't think he will last for his full term of office. //

he's just a placeholder for President-Elect Harris.
""After hiding under his bed for a week, the President explained his brilliant strategy by blaming his predecessor President Trump, and the Afghan military. Surprisingly his speechwriters failed to mention climate change, as another cause for the fall of Afghanistan. Biden basically surrendered, after 20 years and over a trillion dollars and countless American and Afghan lives sacrificed to the cause of bringing faculty lounge democracy to a largely illiterate band of thugs living in the 7th century. He blamed Trump for attempting to end a war that now Biden says he opposed all along, neglecting to mention how he presided over eight years of this war while serving as vice-president. Or that he and Obama’s administration released the masterminds of this current Taliban surge from Gitmo in exchange for deserter Bowe Bergdahl. Trump boxed him in, says Biden. Yet Biden reversed all of Trump’s other policies upon taking office, opening the border, ending American energy independence, and greenlighting Iran’s nuclear program. If he wanted to counter Trump’s plan to exit Afghanistan after 20 wasted years he certainly could have. Biden defied his generals, who must have seen “white rage” in Kabul, and told Biden not to abruptly pull out the military.""

Part of an article released this morning by Brian C Joondeph, Denver based Eye Surgeon.
Yes no
what Biden did minimised the deaths of Americans
There are no voters in Kabul in the American elections

I think what happened showed he was right - the western powers were wasting their time and money and - and the sooner they left the better. The streets by the way are NOT full of dead Towel heads. I daresay they had their bunches of flowers picked and ready in the fridge
No, havent changed my mind. Biden is still a befuddled career politician with an incoherent strategy.
"It seems typical of both you & Biden (what a duo!)"

Not sure if the above merits lol or What The Funicular

'he told Baradar that he would “blow up your village” if the Taliban tried to seize land or equipment ahead of the US withdrawal he negotiated.'

All he negotiated was that the Taleban would inhibiy Al Qaeda, which they have already done by releasing hundreds of their prisoners.
"Blow up your village" , if said, is typical Trumpery.
In fairness Biden should have ripped the thing up, but easy to say now, and politically impossible probably.
Blow up your village is a bit of Saddam-ery. When he was shot at in his car, the whole village was shot in return

Think Lidice and Oradour sur Glane

Trump didnt stop Americans dying did he? it was all blah-blah-blah as it is now....

One liner alert: Togo's article
Brian C Joondeph, Denver based Eye Surgeon erm doesnt quite see eye to eye with Biden voters then?

sozza - gets coat
//There are no voters in Kabul in the American elections//

More nonsense. ^^

There are currently something like 40,000 Americans stranded in Afghanistan and between 5,000 & 10,000 (info is a bit sketchy at the mo) in Kabul alone. They will not though, very likely, vote in the next election. But if they are all dead they will vote for Biden like they always do. He is almost one of them after all.
// He is almost one of them after all.//
oh, one of the future dead or almost dead (biden)

Clearly I do not have the monopoly on nonsense

we are all dead in the long run ( J M Keynes)
As nonsense seems to be fashionable just now let me add my own courtesy of the great anti semite himself:

“ Tradition means giving votes to the most obscure of all classes, our ancestors. It is the democracy of the dead. Tradition refuses to submit to the small and arrogant oligarchy of those who merely happen to be walking about.”

Nothing much to do with the matter at hand but like I say, nonsense …
@16.43. Harris has disappeared, or is distancing herself from Biden. She has not been seen in public for 5 days(a record for her) and has made no public statements, or media posts, and was supposed to be in attendance at the disastrous "talk" give by Biden defending his actions and blaming everyone else. Perhaps she didn't turn up in case he blamed her.
//Much had been made of leaving behind 2 Blackhawk helicopters.
Apparently they haven’t moved for a year because they were awaiting parts. They were inoperable and are no use to the Taliban.//

Did they also leave behind the instruction manual on how to fly them? Or would the Taliban have a couple of qualified Blackhawk pilots among their number?
ex RAF Abers, New Judge? Guaranteed crash, so I'm not too bothered by our 'Tom Cruise' machinery.
This is worth reading, it really to have a go at Biden (necessarily) but for info

Biden was elected for one simple reason - he wasn’t Trump!
Biden doesn’t have the stomach for a fight - which really isn’t that surprising given he dodged the Vietnam draft 5 times.
gromit: The Blackhawks are operational, some helicopters being serviced await parts from the US, but where else would they come from?
Not completely. He and anyone is better than Trump.

Where the hell is the Commander in Chief?
This can't go on much longer. Even the MSM have stopped running cover for him.
Kamala might be horrible but she isn't gaga.
