I finally made it to Dublin. It has been a gloriously hot day. Really glad to finally see my son, DiL & my granddaughter.
Spent a lovely afternoon in Phoenix Park, this park is massive & beautifully kept. I have a full itinerary, starting with Kilmainham Prison & the Guinness factory.

oh god as we passed Kilmainham Prison
the taxi driver insisted on telling me how they had tied someone to a chair before shooting him
and I said: I thought the republic didnt have the death penalty.....
