Is there anything in the scientific literature that would
present consciousness as anything LESS than chemical interactions in our brain?

Where do we go go when we sleep? (non REM)
Are we ''THERE'' when we daydream....wherever 'there' is?

How do you KNOW that you are not in a dream right now? Or a Nightmare?

Just wondering?

I know because it's Saturday night and I'm looking in on some of the greatest minds in the worlds of theology and psychology hacking away at the thorny subjects again.

And again.

And again.

I could dream up better things to do but in life we're stuck with the same old circular spouting.

I might pop back when the bottle's empty. x
Oh the wonders of the human mind!

Nice rounded thread...
Without the breath of God we are just a collection of inert chemicals.
Can anyone answer nailit’s question. Smart *** who mistakenly believe they’re smart
need not apply.

Where are the supermods when
they’re needed?
I've answered it.
You haven’t even chipped the surface. What do you know about scientific literature on this subject, theland? Let me guess. Nothing.
I know nothing of the science of it either, but there look to be links to plenty of reading on the topic here.

1. Only the (mental) night-light is on.
3. Simulation Hypothesis

Watch "The Matrix".
I've read enough to stand by my statement.
This is in the topic 'Science', if you can't contribute in that vein then walk away.
Yes scientifically speaking, how can inert chemicals become conscious?
I stand by my statement.
Those chemicals aren't inert.

Column 18 is (relatively), but you won't find those in your DNA.

Lifeless then.
// Those chemicals aren't inert. //

They are "electrically" active & at some level of complexity, ... shebang !
They are lifeless and devoid of consciousness.
Like the chemicals comprising your neurons ?

Most people I encounter are conscious, at some level. Most.
Sounds like you've beaten the scientists to it then.
