My shed is in good condition apart from the floor has started to rot just inside the door. The bearers were wrapped in heavy plastic when it was put up and it's laid on patio slabs. Is it possible to just remove the rotting floor and use the patio as the base

maggie, surely the shed is sitting on the bearers?

If you can cut all the bearers back to where the walls stand, then yes, I can't see why not.
You may have a draught between the bearers though.

I don't quite know what you mean but the shed is sitting on the bearers then there's a gap under the floor with the patio underneath
Ah... you mean the floor joists?
When you said bearers, I thought you meant what was "bearing" the shed itself.

If the floor and joists are independent of the patio, then yes, cut out floor & joists and use the slabs for the floor
I think the problem you may face is that, just as has happened with the floor, damp may begin to creep from the slabs up the walls and rot them. Depends how long you want them to last.
Yes, you can remove the floor but it may then cause dampness in the shed, a better solution would be to take out the rotten wood and put new planks in place.

Thank you. I have approached a couple of people to replace the floor but after emailing backwards and forwards have had no reply so my son in law has kindly offered to replace it for me
