Far too much BBC studio talk at these Olympics and not enough action, also there were about 8 hours coverage of golf and equestrian overnight, boring is an understatement!
I've just discovered that Eurosport is covering the games, far more action so far, come on BBC , next time cough up more money and show more action!

Yes, it is a bit lacklustre.
...and,of course, there will be lots of licence-payers who will disagree with the OP...
The overpaid pundits love their jaw-jaw.
The next Olympics that the BBC will get a chance to 'cough up more money' for is 2028. https://www.wired.co.uk/article/tokyo-olympics-bbc-coverage
Golf would be more interesting if landmines were included.
BBC can only show 350 hours live, as opposed to 3,500 for the last Olympics - hence the ceaseless chatter
Unfortunately the BBC lost out to Discovery for the rights to more Olympic coverage.

This also applies to Paris and I wouldn’t be hopeful about Los Angeles or even Brisbane.

The Eurosport coverage isn’t great either: it seems to be the same few sports all the time
Eurosport has 7 extra channels covering the Olympics.
I record it overnight and run through it next day cutting out the chatter. I have to say I loved the cross country equestrian and the excellent coverage of the golf!

Less keen on track and field, bring on the park skateboarding!
