Javid is fortunate to get a mild dose so he is telling people not to cower over covid.

the problem now is that we have a section of society that are loving this and want to keep it going as long as poss. The pandemic is over, more people die of other things every day but they ant to keep it going, It's like xmas to the jobsworth types that devise ever more elaborate BS. It's over, end of!

What we have here is a failure to communicate. The same scrotes who scweem about a lack of direct instruction and set roools are the same scrotes who given just that, scweem about micromanagement , totalitarianism, restrictions of freedom(including thinking for their tiny selves) and the destruction of democracy as we know it Jim. Ignore them at your peril. They do not go away. They take the lack of a good kick in the nether regions as encouragement and invent even more self righteous, eye bulging, demented, ramblings and needy emotionally incontinent false alarms.

18:39 Yes TTT and as long as the government listen to these people and allow them to hold sway like they do, we will NEVER be free ! A lot of us just want to get back to normal asap and live with the virus as we know we have to do, but these scaremongering types simply won't let go (there are quite a few of them on here). Javid was a fool to apologise, he spoke the truth, but as usual bowed to pressure when some people complained !
In all the countless threads we've had on covid over the year there are always (often the same) posters who throw out the guilt ball along the lines of tell that to the families who've lost loved ones to covid. Never once do I see the covid obsessed expressing sorry for the thousands that have almost certainly suffered or even died from something else because they couldn't get the medical attention they needed. I can only guess that's because they are of the mindset that dying from covid is far worse than any other death.

Never mind the other 95% plus of people who died. Just the 86. I'm afraid many people in this country have lost their marbles. They are suffering from anxiety, fear and paranoia over a disease that is currently reasonably under control. The government is stoking that paranoia and it cannot continue. We will not achieve "zero Covid" but that is what many people seek and will not let up. They need to stay in so that the rest of us can get properly out and about.

What gets me about Covid and the AB posters, is that some people from the start said it was something we have to live with. There were also those who posted daily almost abusive rants about the idiots, morons, cretins etc. who didn't wear masks, were going out when they weren't supposed to, were not keeping the almost impossible six feet six inch gap between them and others. Now they're also saying we have to live with it and posting insults about people who are still fearful of it. They can't remember themselves from a year ago.

What about them? Javid hasn’t said people dying of old age or disease shouldn’t cower about it. If he had I would have said he was being insensitive about them too.
* 1700+. I think that includes the covid deaths. On a normal non covid year about 550,000 people die, which works out at nearer 1500 deaths a day. The extra 200 deaths a day this year will be the covid deaths.
