It's Only Taken Almost Month

But daughter and her partner's flat refurbishment is finally done, and they moved back in yesterday. New kitchen, shower room and half bath, plus slate flooring where ever there isn't wood.
Luckily they were able to stay at a friend's house, plus they did some sightseeing on their way down here a few weeks ago.
I'm just happy they can settle and enjoy their home now.

I envy them, Pasta! Lockdown scuppered our plans for the repairs and decoration of the whole house.
Staying with friends is fine but having your own place is bliss... :-)

I envy them also. She was getting impatient early in the week...I had to remind her last night that their flat was still pretty much a total bomb site barely 2 weeks ago.

The guy we want to do the work is concentrating on outside work just now. He'll come when it rains! Hasn't flipping well rained since the day we booked him..... :-)

I asked her if they'd used the kitchen yet. She messaged back...no, Thomas had stained it.
I had visions of new white tiles stained with beetroot, and thought, oh dear...is he getting told off right now?
No...he'd been staining the new wood worktop...
