Every year that passes I seem to become more intolerant to hot weather.
All week I have felt like a wet lettuce, no energy and really really tired.
Some days I can't even be bothered to eat although I am drinking plenty.
Does the weather affect you or do you love it?

Too lathargic all the time in the heat, I can't stand the extrmre cold either being typicalally English though I prefer spring and autumn, no disrepect to our British neighbours is meant.
Air conditioning is the bane of my life in restaurants and the idea of having it in my house is simply unimaginable. I've used it occasionally when on holiday. I wake with a mouth and throat like blotting paper and a headache - though copious amounts of booze the previous evening is usually a large contributor to that! :-)

I've had numerous meals out spoiled by being seated underneath an a/c outlet. I go out in short shirtsleeve order because it's warm and end up sitting in a fridge. It occasionally gets warm in this country. Just open a door or window.

Night time - no bother. A cool shower then bed without completely drying off, a window open if it's really hot, and off to sleep. Rarely wake up in the night, never have to get up to go to the loo unless I've had a few beers the evening before, nice cup of tea in bed and ready for the next warm day.

The heat makes me more breathless but my main problem comes if the weather breaks down with thunderstorms, then I get dreadful headaches, seems to be linked to a sudden drop in pressure. It's certainly when the barometer falls suddenly.
I have to be a bit careful as I am quite fair skinned although I haven't had sunburn for years.
Your Answer...Maybe I should ask if I can sleep in the local Spar shop - it's always cool in there!
I do not like hot weather, because it makes me feel sweaty and uncomfortable. Warm weather is OK, hot weather is not OK, but I have noticed an improvement in my aching knees since the hot weather arrived. My knees used to ache with every step that I took, but, since the hot weather arrived, the aches have gone. Could that be due to the high temperatures?
I'm not a fan of it (no pun intended).

I feel lethargic and just can't sleep. In Greece, the older folk will still be wearing cardigans. I've been in 42 degrees C and that was horrendous. Some people like it; I don't!

I was supposed booked for a couple of days work this week for a long-standing customer. Due to unexpected events, the job has been delayed and i hope to get it out of the way either next week or the week after. As a sufferer of very bad secondary hyperhidrosis, i was quite relieved, to be totally honest. I normally go through a couple of work shirts per day, but in this present heatwave, i would have probably have had to change my t-shirt a few more times.

You could always work topless Ken. :-)

bookbinder some peoples joints can be affected by the weather.
Sadly and guiltily I have disobeyed doctors orders and been guzzling a few beers :-(
Beer and hot weather combined affect my already poor lung function.
Ah well, long time looking at the lid :-)
Mrs T is suffering with badly swollen feet and cellulitis, and she is teetotal.
(Moans a bit though!)
Yes the very hot weather affects me now I’m getting older. Don’t go out unless it’s unavoidable and do very little all day except sit in front of a fan. However, today is lovely and cool here and I feel back to normal. Unfortunately, it doesn’t affect my appetite as losing some weight would be a bonus.
Irish, very white skin, red hair and one sun caused BCC behind me. You'd think I'd be suffering but I'm not.

In fact the last few days I've had more energy than I'd had for a good while and my sleep's not suffering from the heat even in a dormer...mind you they're a daft idea.

In the village today you could see folk really struggling just going from shop to shop and Dave's tucking himself away with his air con.

I don't know why I'm not being affected. Dave keeps looking sideways at me as if I'm not normal...... he could be right of course.... :-)

Take care, Barsel and others suffering...x

Thanks Gness, I'll send you my address so you can send me some of that energy.:-) xx
Will do, Barsel. :-).
//Dave keeps looking sideways at me as if I'm not normal//
he's probably wondering where you've hidden his Pringles . . .

You could be right, Ael. I think he's torn between proving that he has self control and giving in and buying the location of the Pringles from me.... ;-)
Yes it gives me headaches and disrupts my sleep I drink plenty of water during the day.
After working in a kitchen for over 10 years, I'm not as bothered as I used to be...though this past week has bordered on unbearable.
Oddly, Britain at 27°/80-ish feels more intolerable than US at 90°. Probably due to the humidity. As I type, it's 86% here, and just 42% outside NY.
Can't stand it. I burn in the sun and get hives in the heat. Asthma considerably worse. Sweat profusely, often feel nauseous. No energy. Sleep on top of the bed under a ceiling fan with two floor fans. Hands and legs swell. It is far easier for me to keep warm in winter.
