427x66xnumber of floors should do it?
Buckingham palace is only 351ft wide so that would be a very wide house!
If the manor house really is 427' x 66', the plan area is simply the product of the two lengths = 28,182 sq. ft.

However, like Fitzer, I'm suspicious of that length, which is 2¼ times as long as Chatsworth House

and nearly three quarters the length of Wentworth Woodhouse

Fitzer/Buenchico: That's not very big, it would fit inside the Tate Modern Main (Turbine) Hall which is 500ft by 75ft (37,500 sq ft)

:-D

True Canary but in turn you could drop that into the Boeing Everett factory (4,280,000 sq ft) many times over but it doesn't really help Eve (who doesn't seem to have returned to her question) ;-)

Believe it or not the dimensions are correct.

This is a mansion of significant proportions. It is however narrow.

Because of confidentiality I cannot say which property.

I wanted to work out the sq ft size because I’d like to compare it to another building of the same era.

Ty all

Ps because of the nature of our work we have been lucky to live on some amazing estates. Confidentiality is key however.
