//A health secretary should at least be healthy, otherwise it's a poor example to the rest of us// That's got to take pride of place as the daftest answer of the year.

Defend them to the end.
Yes, I am sure, jno. The BBC said that because the two had been in contact they would face self-isolation. The Telegraph, yesterday, said this:

I suspect there's a bit of jiggery-pokery going on here - but what's new?
that just says "may" face self-isolation: at that point they hadn't been pinged ("Prime Minister and Chancellor waiting to be contacted by NHS Test and Trace..."). After that, they were pinged and said they wouldn't isolate. And after that they said they would.

I don't know why, after more than a year, they still don't seem to have internalised the lesson that the public don't like seeing politicians exempting themselves from the rules they make.
Will Boris now have to miss his own freedom day, Tomorrow....... I dont trust him.
Love this one, "Boris and Rishi are like two bank robbers who offered to give the money back when they had been caught"
Boris reminds me of Emperor Commodus in Gladiator. Just after Maximus reveals his identity in the Coliseum, Commodus wants to execute him. The crowd chants "Live, live ..." and Commodus feels compelled to give the thumbs up. The despotic emperor, desperate to do what he wants, but forced to do the opposite because he's even more desperate for the love of the common people. What a sorry excuse for a leader.
fortunately, he's already executed Maximus. Boris stabbed a few backs in his rise to power too.
