The side panels are fixed to the top with 2 or 4 “studs or buttons” depends on width , the fixings a two part nylon or plastic core that pushes into the outer top and inner side and a button fixes into this which locks all solid.
They are prone to break I am trying to get some more but have no part number or proper name. Help

Older spares are often difficult to find, Jim. There are several on this page, but for the newer ranges. Any good? https://www.stelrad.com/radiators/radiator-accessories/

I did look at Stelrad site for a start, but it only has latest fixings. So contacted stelrad website and got the answer, we don’t make it or stock it now. So nil points to them!

I have also tried to find sites that manufacturer rivets or connectors of plastic, and am waiting for a sample, but it looks like they want to supply 1000 as a minimum. So the search goes on!
Is there a knack to removing the top grill of Stelrad radiators, mine are fluff central inside and I can only do so much with a cloth round a bbq stick!

The way side panels and tops are removed depends on the style of your rad covers, look on the web, under removing Stelrad covers and you can see examples on Utube of how it’s done.
