The own goal was going in the net anyway regardless of whether it made brief contact with the Danish player. Sterling definitely didn't dive. He was helped to fall and England were awarded a penalty. The better side rightfully won and its been a huge morale boost for our country. Well done, England. I'm prodigiously proud of you and will be right behind you this...

MFB! PMSL!
Ken, you backed 2-1 didn't you? I assume that was for 90mins though, so nearly!
I think that the remark re Covid was beyond reprehensible.
Better send Sandy Toksvig back !

They're deluded, even if the decision is wrong has there ever been a replay after the event? Hand of god? nope!

Absolutely is a BA ( Lcg) there’ll always the moaners , let them but I’m very proud to be English right now and even if they go out on Sunday, I’ll still be proud to be English ,we’ve had a much needed boost to morale here
TTT, also had a tenner on an anytime Maguire goal @ 11/1 and thought his header was on it's way in to the onion bag, but Schmeichel got a hand to it. Pity that laser wasn't in his eyes at that moment:-(
Gully; "Back off." Quaking in me slippers :-/
Thanks for BA!
Ken // Pity that laser wasn't in his eyes at that moment:-//
Have you any idea of the damage that can be done by shining a laser in someone's eyes?//
^
Yes, Danny. Most common would be flash blindness. Lasts for a short period of time, rather like a camera flash.
Ken, from a report in 2017:-
//
a survey of UK ophthalmologists reported more than 150 incidents of eye injuries involving laser pointers since 2013//
Danny, "A survey of UK Opthalmologists reported more than 150 incidents of eye injuries involving laser pointers since 2013"
You forgot to add the rest of the sentence; "The vast majority of these involving children." No doubt shining them in each other's eyes at school, or on the school bus.

Ken does it matter who was using the lasers, the fact remains that injury was caused.
Danny, i'm not disputing that lasers can cause injury. But without any context, the report means little. 150 incidents of damage to the eyes out of how many incidents in total? At what distance was the damage caused? Do you know, because the report doesn't say.
My remark was made in sarcasm (hence the emoji :-/) but you chose to jump on your high horse and have a pop. Lighten up, fella.
I bought a couple of lasers for my cat to play with.
He loved chasing the red dot, but then he sussed out where it was coming from. He leapt at me, grabbed my arm in his two front paws and stuck his teeth into my arm. When he died I binned them.
Just in case anyone's interested, 5:40 on Channel 4 tomorrow is the entire 1966 World Cup final in colour. I've never seen the colour version, so it'll be a new experience for me. I fancy England to beat those dirty Germans.
Mozz, get down to the bookies and make a bet. You will make a fortune. ☺

I dislike football and I am Scottish but I hope that England plays well in their match and that the fans behave themselves when they celebrate their win.
