The point is, because people can 'cope' with the virus does not mean it is desireable that they should have to do so.
Speaking as someone who has had Covid, I put no burden on the NHS, nor my employer since I am retired, but I did spend four days in bed unable to move except for essential bathroom visits, relying on family to feed me.
That's not a good experience for anyone at any age, so if we can reduce the numbers of people who do experience it by continuing to vaccinate in advance of the lapse of restrictions, I would see that as a good idea.

Also there are many people awaiting 2and jab who are not 'fully proteccted and it takes 3 weeks to be effective.

But going to the pub normally entails a drink, perhaps a meal and a nice chat. How can it be normal to be surrounded by people shouting and cheering at a football match on the telly?
One of the worst thing that ever happened to pubs was the screening of football matches. It ruins the pub entirely for some time before and after the match and makes the environment unbearable for anybody not involved in the match. Football should be watched either in the stadium or at home in the comfort of your own home.
