Whats all the shouting about and the uncontrollable excitement, England have taken 55 years to win a football match against a German side, is that really that great? I don't think so. Plus what do we actually get from this? within a couple of weeks after its all done and dusted, it will be forgotten. The players involved will just be showered with even more of a gross weekly/ monthly wage along with their manager. So what will you get from it, if anything.

I'm going to watch women's football in future. There's less screaming and shrieking.
But no muscly Italian men in tight shorts.

You might be disappointed - they all wear sports bras now :-)
Lowly Southend United have a 100% winning record against Manchester United (Ronaldo and Rooney).
Quite apart from the great win there's the knock-on benefit to the NHS when the secret treatment for getting poleaxed athletes upright and mobile is divulged.

I was waiting for a curtain and a man with a gun at one point. :-)

Good result though.
Excitement, pride, a morale booster, a talking point. Any more ?.
“ This is a win in a knock out stage of a tournament and those are rare occasions the last chance to do that was in 1990, so please try and not demonstrate your total lack of understanding so publicly”

Some mistake surely Tora.
1990 WC was the one v Germany I left out in my list above, but there was 1996 and 2006.
And that’s just against Germany.
England’s previous knock out game was v Croatia in 2018, and that’s if you discount the Nations League
Played 36 times

England won 16
Germany won15
Draws 5
I think teacake must have an 8-day mechanism ;)
I think that we are doing well because we have no superstars, Kane and Sterling wouldn't make a Europe 11, probably not even the bench. What we do have is a fairly young group of players who seem to work well as a team.
Something that also helps is the whole bubble together thing, less off the pitch distractions, not a Wag to be seen, and a manager who quietly gets on with the job. I prefer a defender as manager, get the defence tight you always have a chance.
To be honest I would not have Kane as captain, just leave him to play his game, put the armband on someone further back who can see more of the play, and is stronger.

Sadly although I think we will reach the final we will probably play Italy who may just be a bit too crafty for our young lions. Hope I am wrong.
OP, I'm still on a high from it, but never underestimate the opposition today taking on Ukraine in the Quarters won't be a pushover, I still have nightmares about Iceland five years ago in the WC.
Yes: “England will be fine as long as as they score first early on”

Oops …
Euro's sorry not WC.
