Yesterday daughter took us down to Bristol, we stayed overnight at the premier inn. OH went by taxi at 10.30 to Bristol Royal Infirmary. He had his op for a cochlear implant at about 1.00. I had a phone call to pick him up at 5.30. SIL came and picked us up and brought us home. OH is fine. he has bandages on his head just like a turban!
He Is just watching the football I recorded for him with a glass of wine.

This morning took his bandages off. Not a lot to see, just a bit of bloodstained gauze at the back of his ear. Doesn't get the tin cup thing fixed on his head for about four weeks after that it will be connected.

You need to remember, Caran, that he'll probably only get the basic model on the NHS ;-)
