I'd like to see the Oxfam staff survey in full rather than just snippets.

It sounds on the face of it to be quite divisive and that's not how a survey should be.Everyone should be able to answer all questions freely and not be channelled into the 'types' that the working party who devised it seem to want.

You don’t need to be paranoid to translate it that way and I think it’s rather arrogant to tar anyone who does with that brush. I see an awful lot of apologising going on right now whether it be for colonialism, slavery, perceived racism, sexism, perceived white privilege, or a myriad of other isms and ists so it’s hardly surprising that when a charity starts spouting ‘woke’ words, as many of them
do now, the listener/reader comes to what has become an understandable conclusion.

I don't think so, naomi. It is not rational to understand our history and present, and also take a general comment personally. It's paranoid. As far as the link goes, Oxfam have made a general comment. To suggest that white individuals need to apologise for it, is... weird.

It doesn't make them right. Your addition of "perceived" to your post, could make it look like you don't believe it really exists... which shows how print can be misleading. Or, may show where the paranoia comes from. I don't find it threatening in any way.
