can immediately think of a few ( irish bombers, daniel morgan, dalian thingey, ) where things would be different if it had been

b. wdnt take 35 y to say we now have no idea who did it because we consciously wrecked the evidence
c.would be in a psych hospital and not a coffin
Has anyone read Cosby - it looks like inconsistent evidence was given in the civil case by the victim which had an effect on what was pleaded in the criminal case
civil evidence to screw a criminal case is rare but does happen.
Sutcliffe libel trials were undone by later evidence in a later trial ( there was serial libel suing)
Linford Christie Libel trial was undone by evidence that Sean McVicar ( yeah the crrazed gun man played by Roger Daltrey) collected
In these cases the liar - where the case had to be unwound - may be indicted for perjury and if convicted, starts off at 2 y in prison ( Aitken)
