I was just about to eat some organic greek yogurt when I looked for its use by date which is on 23rd June but then I read "eat within three days of opening". I opened it several days ago although I replaced the lid tightly. What may happen if I do eat this probably eight or nine days after I first opened it? Anyone know?

Pour it straight down the pan, and cut out the middle man.
Throw it away.
If it hasn't gone pink or mouldy I'd still eat it.

But I have a very indifferent view to what labels tell me and I was brought up by a farmer whose views were to trust your instinct and your senses.
I've had a large pot of plain yoghurt on the go for at least 11 days, I only use a spoonful each day to help swallow a large pill.
eat it
Seven days is suggested here.
Eight or nine !! "Your shout"

Nothing will happen. Just eat it, it will be fine as long as it was stored properly. You can give it a sniff first if you want.
I would bin it, eight or nine days is a long time. I eat things to one day past its eat by date, if it has gone off it is not safe to use.
I eat yoghurt unless it has started to grow mould. After all it was invented as a way of preserving milk!
It's usually pretty obvious when milk products aren't fit to eat because they smell wrong. If it smells OK try a tiny bit and, if that tastes OK, just eat it.
William, what do you do if it's more than 1 day after its use by, but it's not gone off?
People really need to use common sense, and not be influenced just by use by dates.
The OP said the pot was only opened several days ago.
