i heard the greek word skopos means focus in english but when i google it it means purpos cause whe i listen to the show called skopos on wdcx radio station it says it means focus which one is it

To have a clear purpose means much the same as having a clear focus on something.
Like many words in all languages, it has two meanings.
Like many words in English, σκοπός (skopos) has multiple meanings:

As Mamyalynne states, 'focus' and 'purpose' are virtually synonymous. e.g. saying "the purpose of our investigation will be . . . " is very close to saying "the focus of our investigation will be . . . ".
