Pot up theseedlings in good quality compost and keep them in a shady spot away from strong sunlight and keep them well watered .I have noticed that this year many plants are forming seedlings that have never done so before . I have tried to grow a tree peonie from seed for years without any success as the seeds are like bullets this year loads of them have self seeded themselves do you want one ?

Thanks for the advice, Quattro, also the offer sadly, my garden is pcked tightly as it is and I have no room for more
I forgot to add you should use an acid based composr as Camelias prefer an acid soil
I am trying to regenerate a Camellia which was a pot plant from IKEA and has since fallen on hard times. It does not appear to be dead, but only just alive. I am going to try washing the compost off the roots and trying an ericaceous compost as suggested. If it grows and flowers, I'll let you know.
