Oh Bristol Hospital Trip.

What a journey. We allowed 2 hours to get there. Sat nav said 51 minutes. We drove round Bristol for an hour trying to find somewhere to park. It's a nightmare!!
Eventually we decided to try the drop off zone as I spotted a small disabled sign.
We were very lucky, we found a disabled spot one of about three. We grabbed it. Just managed to get to his appointment one minute late.
He had loads of tests, blood pressure, wired up for heart thingy. Blood taken, mobility, you name it they tested it. All ok and op will go ahead next week. Only problem, he is not allowed to drive coming home. I cannot drive around Bristol. I know my limitations. It is the most horrendous city to drive in, even as a passenger I'm terrified. Luckily we have volunteers from friends and family. We both have to isolate for three days prior to op but no problem.
So we are all set for next weeks op.

My son in law 40 is profoundly deaf from birth.
Sadly, his parents did not do enough in his early years, otherwise he too could have benefitted from this treatment, but its too late for him.
Never mind, he has given me six lovely grandchildren and a great granddaughter. A lovely loving man.

It is not too late for him. Today the doctor mentioned people deaf from birth who benefit from this op. It is a bit more difficult but so much doable. So please Theland encourage him to go for an appointment.
