Afternoon punters. Dull and grey here ... where is the Sunshine? It had better show up soon, we are due to go to Cornwall end of next week. Busy getting the garden in order before we go, a pal is going to call and water etc when we are away. Costs me a good bottle of Rum.
Had a look for an e/w chance today.
Count D'Orsay @9/1 2.20Hay.
Cuban Breeze @9/2 3.15Ch.
Broken Spear @ 14/1 3.45Bev.
Sir Benedict @17/2 4.40Hay.

E/W Acca E/W Doubles Trebles. Singles as and when.

Also had a couple of little little, permed, E/W Trixies on the Doctor's runners Brian the Snail, Gabriel the Wire, Heart of Soul/Arabist at massive odds. Beverley 2.35 has 3 "Poets" in it so I have had little F/casts Tri/casts, cos ya never know.

Done the ITV7 Brian the Snail, Hester Prynne, Count D'Orsay, Gabrial the Wire, Ryan's Party, With Thanks, Broken Spear. 5p e/w 7,6, & 5 timers.
Got to nip out for an hour will catch up when I get back.

On the face of it, the Catterick meeting looks like one i would gladly attend - large field handicaps to get my slide-rule into. However, on closer inspection, there are an awful lot of horses running there who have gone quite some time since their last win.

Less said about nags the better. Cashed out a 9 match acca for £1200 - stood to win £3,278 - after 7 legs successful. 8th leg was Liberec v S Olomouc in the Czech 1st Div and i went for BTTS. Home side on top much of first half but away side lead 1-0.Was tempted to let it ride, then see what the offer would be prior to the City match (last leg City to win in 90 mins). But my bottle went. Still, £1200 for a fiver ain't a bad afternoon's work :-)
Bleedin "last" again here Ken. Nice collect for you though there Ken. It is not bottle went in my book, but it is calculating and cool thinking followed by a balanced choice. I usually get a pay out before I go South, but providence seems to be leaving it late this time.

Yep, two ways of looking at it, T. A definite 1200 or a possible 3278. I know i did the correct thing, but the bet would still be going as the 8th leg ended 2-1 to the away side.
I've already got a free bet on a 2-1 City win (and a fiver on both Brentford and City to score more than one goal) so i'm contemplating sticking £50 on from the 1200 on BTTS & City @ 15/4.
As for the nags, i'm seriously considering throwing my slide rule away and buying a magic wand. Or a lucky pin :-(
Would you put £1200 on a 27/16 chance Ken? Me neither. I can't do shi- ite or bust. Good win regardless.
Question Author
Made the correct decision in the end, Togo, with City getting beat. And i only put £20 of the £50 i was contemplating staking when i saw there was no Aguero nor Jesus in the side. I would have started with Aguero and taken him off when he got tired.
