morning all, there is a nice blue sky at the moment, the forecast seems to suggest a better day weather wise, i sure hope so. Anyone have any plans for the day?

i have my customary food delivery coming this morning, so there's that to sort out, and if by some miracle the weather is nice, i will take a wander out later perhaps for an al fresco lunch.

What about a weekend away ,a spa weekend to relax those weary muscles after the work on the house, you go too , after your recent illness, it will do you both good
Question Author
yes things are opening, it would do you both a world of good..
He absolutely hates flying (or rather he hates all the faff at airports). He told me he couldn't care less if he never flew abroad on holiday again.

I'm just wary about booking any kind of days out or experiences in case they get cancelled. I bought him a beautifully illustrated golf book a couple of years ago showing all the most amazing golf courses in the world, the sort of thing you would expect him to go nuts for, but he's barely looked at it.

He's obsessed with this house at the moment so I don't know whether to get him a voucher for B&Q or Wickes, but that's a bit of a cop-out really and wouldn't truly be a present for him.
Question Author
no don't buy him anything to do with DIY. I would try for a weekend break, a spa is an excellent idea.
That's a nice idea, Bobbi, but he doesn't seem interested in anything like that at the moment.

We were supposed to go to Brighton a few months ago so maybe I'll just rebook that. I'm wondering if there is something I could book for when we're in St Ives next month. I think you can do a tour of the Rattler plant or something.
Question Author
what's the rattler plant, is that beer, whisky?
are you going to St Ives when the G7 summit is on.
Men are extremely hard to buy for ( he says I’m am too )
No, Emmie, thank God! We're going first week in July.
Rattler is Cornish Cider. I think you can visit the plant / museum and take a tractor ride through the orchards too.
I must go crack on with some work.

Have a great day all xx
Question Author
im sure it will be great,

bye Lcg, have a good day
Me too, shower and dressed, have a happy day all x
Question Author
have done all that, now just waiting for the food delivery

bye Bobbi, enjoy your day
Good morning. Looks like we're going to have a nice day here after the non-stop pour down yesterday.

Will be glad when all this stuff-and-nonsense about G7 is over. Why do they have to meet anywhere and not have a zoom or video or something like that conference like they have been telling everyone else to have. Just a jolly as far as I can see. Not of any benefit to man nor beast.

morning LJ
Question Author
it does seem a strange place to have this G7 summit. Lets hope some good comes of it.
So much disruption and not just to St Ives. They could construct a tent city in the middle of the Sahara or Gobi deserts and leave everyone else to get on with their lives. But as I said why do they need to meet up at all? The enormous amount of money could be better used.
