Face Masks

Went into B&M today for one or two items, plus I was on my last disposable face mask, so I picked up a pack of ten, couldn't see a price on them but needed them anyhow, and had bought them before from there so I knew they were't that expensive. When I got to the checkout I was only charged a £1 for the ten. Could they be getting rid of the stocks in advance of them not being required soon. Anyone else bought cheaper than normal.

I've also been buying disposable masks from B&M and I've noticed that the price seems to have kept dropping since I started buying them from there. I've not bought any recently though, as I've still got several full boxes of them in the boot of my car at the moment.

Face masks (from all sources) certainly seem to have come down in price a great deal since the start of the pandemic. When I first went in search of some at our local pharmacy (which doesn't rip people off with their prices), while there were still shortages in many places, I was offered a choice of buying disposable masks at £1.99 each or buying a single re-usable mask for £7.99!

I remember they cost a good deal more a year ago. As for sanitiser, it would have been cheaper to wash your hands in the Dom Perignon '59.

I've got about 40+ boxes of 50 under my desk in the hospital I work in, I order them for the front door and staff door of the hospital, I always have a few new ones in my bag, we get thru about 350+ per day.

I have just made a new batch of reusable ones to go with some summer dresses I made, as I don't like the feel of the disposables. I use them once and they get washed in hot water and detergent, rinsed in more hot water and dried. The only significant cost is the non woven underlining which is £2 a metre and the elastic. They do last about 6-7 months though
