Whoops, I think my 2 key is sticky!!
No, you were right the first time.
Your key isn't sticky, Atheist. It just recognises that Edwin Poots holds 1st century views ;-)

He seems to be in the wrong country. If he was in the USA, he'd have over a third of the population agreeing with him!

oh god poor fellow
( young earth creationism)

the advantage of american crazy creationism is that it gives European scientists a well deserved edge in the open world market
very appropriate name

Thanks, Doug and Buen :-)
As he plans to remain in his current Ministerial position, I'm intrigued as to how the new First Minister will carry out that role when someone else heads the Party.
a propos

is an excellent article - even for wiki - and brings out the importance of the geological changes ( in thought ) that preceded Darwin

[ the earth was obviously changing from the geology point of view - from a static created state - and so when Darwen said ditto for species - alot of Victorians said yeah so what]

re Whoops! I've just realised that some of AB's Russian/Chinese/Korean puppets might take offence and think that I'm supporting Mr Biden, just because I might be sounding a bit unhappy about ignorami gaining polirical power.
As well as his crazy creationist beliefs, he seems to have had a charisma bypass - he makes Keir Starmer look animated
Wasnt Mr Poots a leading character in the classic novel-a diary of a nobody?I hope this present day mr poots doesnt have a bath in a newly red painted bath...
that would be Charles Pooter ^^
i listened to him for a few minutes, and realised that he's actually a robot, i can't believe they elected him at all. Charisma by pass, monosyllabic, monotone robot.
Mr Poots is as qualified to lead a political party, the same as any practising Muslim, Jew, Hindu or Sikh.

His faith doesnt get in the way of leading a political party, or making Northern Ireland a safer and better place.
perhaps not, but creationism, come on.
It doesnt appear Poots is ramming his faith down anyone's neck, so let him crack on with leading his party. Only my opinion.
perhaps not but he is in a very powerful job, where his views could well be held up as the truth. Creationism is not something i would aspire to.
You are perfectly entitled to your personal views and beliefs, as is Mr Poots. He is not, as I pointed out, ramming them down anyone else's throat and, whatever anyone else thinks, he has the courage to stand by his convictions. I would welcome that in any politician.
No. Anyone who believes the earth is 6000 years old is arguably insane.
